COME BY THE HILLS TO THE LAND WHERE LIFE IS A SONG - AND SING WHILE THE BIRDS FILL THE AIR WITH THEIR JOY ALL DAY LONG... WHERE THE TREES SWAY IN TIME, AND EVEN THE WIND SINGS IN TUNE, AND CARES OF TOMORROW MUST WAIT TILL THIS DAY IS DONE.
This is me, Julie, with the Celtic Harp that I finished in 2001. It is a 31 string, low head, nylon strung folk harp made of solid ash with a baltic birch sound-board, made for me by my good friends at Folkcraft Instruments - Thanks, guys, you are still the best at what you do. I designed the shape, stained it and painted the celtic designs. I also installed the hardware, strung it and attached the sharping levers.

UPCOMING GIGS: DECEMBER 2009
Tuesday, December 8th, I will be performing at the Main branch of the Farmington Library on Monteith Drive at 1:15 p.m. This will be a Seasonal and Holiday show featuring ancient and modern songs and carols and will be around 45 minutes long. Admission is FREE.
Sunday, December 13th, I will be playing from 2-4 p.m. during the opening of a juried art competition show at Lady Audrey's Gallery in West Cornwall, CT. The gallery is located right in the center of town on Rt. 128 from Rt. 7. Deborah's website is beautiful and informative of her Gallery and the surrounding area. Check it out at www.ladyaudreysgallery.com.
Check back frequently - this time of year I sometimes don't get much notice and there still might be gigs to post for December.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!!!!

I am in the process of re-mastering my CD's and will update this site when they are once again available for purchase. I would be happy to send you a couple of songs via email that I have recorded onto my computer if you are interested in hearing my playing style in regards to hiring me for a performance or wedding. I do send demo CD's to perspective Brides and Grooms with appropriate Celtic wedding tunes on them, as I don't tend to play the traditional wedding music.

I am available for Performing in CT, MA, RI, and NY. I would love to play my Celtic Music at your wedding, if you would like something a bit different but still very beautiful and appropriate for the occasion. Gayla and I, as Serene Strings, are also available for all occasions, and this combo adds World and Classical Music to the Celtic theme. I have demo CD's and recorded songs I can send to you over the internet to help you decide if this type of music and my playing style suit you. I can play in costume, if you so desire, and I have excellent references from many happy people.
